This web-site is the result of a number of years research including with record keeping and producing a family tree of the genealogy of the Brittain family of South Lincolnshire.  This is my paternal ancestry, which for several past generations is centred around South Lincolnshire, and villages including Pointon with Sempringham, Aslackby, Kirkby Underwood and Folkingham, as well as neighbouring and nearby villages and towns, including Corby Glen, Edenham, Bourne and Grantham.  Genealogy with a family tree was initially stated and developed over 20 years ago, manually on paper with basic information such as date and place of birth, place of burial and any known occupation for three-four connected generations, from the current generation (including myself) recorded solely with help from family members.  It was from about 2000 that this work was taken more seriously and developed further, electronically with to date about 200 individuals recorded using a variety of resources including those on-line and visits to Lincolnshire Archives.  There are many more individuals in ‘family groups’ where an exact relationship to the main family tree body has not yet been established.  Any help with these would be appreciated.

This work has been undertaken by myself with some information provided by family members, and done in my spare time, fitted in in between work and other interests including volunteer charity work which I am involved with.  Apologies for any mistakes discovered.  Due to the nature of records available, such as their quality with physical state or lack of information, inaccuracies and unreliability together with issues sometimes of accessibility combined with shortage of time I have to look into researching further, some of the resulting information sourced to date may currently be incorrect or have discrepancies.  Any help in such case would additionally be appreciated.
